Calsifer's Story...
A family moved out of the house they were renting but forgot to take one important thing - their pregnant cat! Locked in the house, the poor cat had her kittens and nursed them for about 4 days but died due to lack of water and nutrition for herself. Shame on that family!

The person who rented the house to them found the newborn kittens and rushed them to a vet's office. They're in our program now and a volunteer has been bottle-feeding them and caring for them since that day. One baby is already adopted!

There are two girls (both orange tabbies) and two boys (both brown mackerel tabbies). The sisters are mirror images of one another and the brothers are too. They're healthy and sweet and were born around the middle of March. Let's give these sweeties the happy lives their mother deserved but didn't get.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Calsifer, a Marietta Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
