At first glance he doesn't look like a cat you would name Angel, but spend a couple of minutes with him and you know how his name came to be Angel. He's had a rough few years: found on the expressway with a broken tail, pelvis and other injuries, Catvando took him in and paid for all his veterinary care and he is now feeling fine. He has a rugged kind of charm, kinda like George Clooney, and he wins your heart with his sunny personality.  It's apparent he was loved in his previous life because he is full of love to give.  He rolls on his back and invites you to pet his tummy, really, no lie, he likes it.  If you're standing, he lays his head on your shoe and gives sweet little chirps.  He is fine being picked up, held and being cradled in your arms.  He is mostly black with a couple of white spots where he was injured and that's the way his fur grew back.  Because of his broken  pelvis he will need a dab of hairball remedy each day to keep him regular, but it's easy because he likes it and licks it off his paw.  He likes cats and dogs and well behaved kids over 10.  Because the main house is full right now, he is living with the outside cats and he pretty much stays in the yard, but he would love to be inside with you and share his light with you.  He has stayed sweet and easy through all his troubles and deserves a good home after all he has been through.  Could that be you and your house?

About CatVando TNR Corp

About Our Rescue Group...

Our primary mission is to prevent kittens through a Trap Neuter Return (TNR) program. However, sometimes we get Trap Neuter Adoption (TNA’s). When shelters are full, we foster, socialize and vet the kittens. This part of our program also involves local youths in the care of kittens in addition to our TNR efforts.

While in our system, kittens are fed a good quality Grain-Free Kibble and care is taken to assure their long and healthy life to the extent possible. We supplement for specific issues i.e. Pro-biotics, EFA's, immune boosters and sometimes digestive enzymes.. Many are exposed to dogs and are comfortable with them. They’ve been exposed to many wonderful volunteers of all ages.

When possible we capture the mama with the litter to assure their fuller development. Many times we keep them together for 9-12 weeks. Our adoption fee covers spay neuter surgery, FVRCP & Rabies vaccinations, parasite, ear mite & flea treatment when necessary, and a micro chip. And some of them have a small ear tip—just a reminder that you’ve given a cat a home that could have otherwise had to fend for itself, on the streets.

Our adopted cats and kittens are welcome back for the duration of their life in the event the adoption doesn’t work out, or if it becomes impossible for you to keep the cat. We’re always available for consultation about behavior, health, or referrals to assistance beyond our scope.

Our Adoption Process...

1. Fill out an application

2. Face to face Interview, and meet with the cat/kitten

Part of our adoption process requires observing all family members interaction, especially children.

We always adopt bonded pairs, but single cats are sometimes available. Adoption fees vary, but are usually $25 - $75 for a single cat, and $125 for a bonded pair.

Depending on the situation, we may also need to carry out a home visit, and help with transportation and introduction of the cat to it's new surroundings.

Follow-ups are part of the normal process.
