This tall, handsome older man is looking for a home all his own where he can spend the next 9 or 10 years being the apple of someone's eye. Blake is a well behaved boy who will do best as an only child or with a female companion. He gets along with other dogs but tends to be a bit too bossy with other males. Blake is very distinguished both in looks and behavior, none of that ball chasing business for him. He walks well on a leash and loves a nice stroll around the neighborhood. Blake is good with children 6 and up, but I'm not sure how he would do with pre-schoolers. In the evenings when you sit on the couch watching tv he will sit on the back right next to you. If he feels he needs your attention he will quietly lean over and gently give you a kiss - sometimes on your cheek, sometimes on your ear. As with most min pins he is very treat motivated. He LOVES rawhide chips and twists - any flavor except mint please.
Blake is a runner so care must be taken at the front door. He is also a bit of an escape artist as long as it isn't too much work. He found an easy spot to dig along my fence and scooted out so that he could follow all the kids to the neighborhood school one day. Once I fixed the easy spot he has made no additional attempts to dig out. He is house trained using a doggie door.
Blake would love to find a home with an older person that would allow him to snuggle under the covers at night. He can be quite the couch potato when he wants to be. A quite home or apartment would be perfect for him. If you are looking for a companion, please consider Blake. I know he would love to meet you! If interested please contact his foster mom, Suzanne at: email@example.com.
Note: Blake is located in CA in the Sacramento area - and we will not fly this boy.
