Gia's Story...
Little Gia is about as cute and sweet as puppies come! This girl just LOVES it when you hold her in your arms, letting her know she is safe. In the meantime, she will lick your face with warm, grateful kisses. Gia does well on a leash, and seems quite interested in new people and canines, alike. She is also a smart little girl and has demonstrated her just how well she catches on to new things by easily picking up the rules of a clever game of fetch with a willing volunteer. Like all puppies, Gia will need training and some good boundary-setting to let her know how a good little canine citizen behaves. Come visit Gia and hold her in your arms-- we guarantee that you will be hard pressed to let this sweetie go.

Act quickly to adopt Gia. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gia, a Berkeley American Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
