Maude's Story...
FOWA often helps a caretaker in Newark when he finds new friendly cats that have been abandoned in his feral cat colonies. As often happens, FOWA received another call about a very friendly cat and her 4 kittens that had been abandoned. Now that all of Maude’s kittens have found their loving homes, Mom Maude patiently waits for her turn. Maude is timid, but that doesn’t stop her from finding your lap, after all, she believes a lap not sat in is a terrible thing to waste. Her personal preference is to be with people, so find a couch so she can find your lap. Maude was born in April 2015. She is spayed, negative for FIV/FeLV and fully vaccinated. Apply at www.fowarescue.com and call us at 973-902-7515. Pictures will be posted soon.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maude, a Wayne Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Wayne, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Wayne.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wayne already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wayne breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wayne paves the way for another one to be saved.
