Derby came to IMPS on the day of the Kentucky Derby which is how she got her name. She may be 3-years old but she's still all Puppy ... running, jumping, chewing and playing! When she's not playing all she wants is to sit in your lap and be loved on. This girl is very loyal and wants to please. Gentle corrections are all that's needed. She's good on a leash, sleeps quietly in a crate and quickly learned the dog door. She's also a world class blanket burrower! Derby is still recovering from her time in the shelter and can be anxious when meeting new people. Derby will be an outstanding lifetime companion for the right person in the right home. She will do best with access to a secure yard where she will not be left alone for long periods of time. Another dog to play with is a must. No young children or cats, please. This wonderful girl just wants to find a home where she can be the center of someone's world. Is that you?
