Padraig's Story...
Padraig (paw-drick) is a handsome, young boy, about three years old. He was found over St. Patrick's day weekend, so was given the Irish version of the name Patrick. When first entering his foster home, he was timid and felt more comfortable exploring before showing affection.

Padraig is full of energy and enjoys burning it off playing with one of the resident cats. He is respectful of the other cats that prefer to relax their days away. He enjoys playing with other cats so much that his foster recommends he go to a home with other playful cats.

Padraig also loves climbing and jumping, a cat tree is on his must have list. He has also done well with the three dogs in his foster home who range in sizes from medium to large.

Padraig is very smart and loves opening the sliding door in his foster home. His forever family will need to be cautious with sliding or lever doors, if he is strong enough he will open them. He is very food/treat orientated, so with patience he might be able to learn some tricks!

Approx. DOB 3/1/13

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Padraig, a St. Louis Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in St. Louis, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in St. Louis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Louis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Louis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Louis paves the way for another one to be saved.
