Zane's Story...
Zane is a male shepherd approximately 9-10  months old, housebroken, knows how to sit & shake, gets along fine with cats, loves other dogs and people. He was found on the streets of Phoenix with his brother (who is in another foster home). The 2 siblings had to be placed in separate kennels when they were at MCACC because they were both so skinny and starving that they would fight over their food. He was basically skin and bones when I took him out of MCACC, he weighed about 15 pounds. He now is almost 30 pounds and looks great. He is a typical puppy, with tons of energy. He loves his stuffed toys (especially the ones with squeakers), but will make a toy out of anything handy if he doesn’t have access to his toys. He would prefer a home with another dog so they could play and play. He is also great with kids.

And his ears are conversation starters!

All of our dogs are spay/neutered, up to date on shots and microchiped.  If you are interested in Hope call Jen 623-210-6578 or Ryan 623-606-4855 or email   We are at petco on I17 & Happy Valley every Sunday from 11-6.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zane, a Phoenix Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
