Crystal's Story...
Although we make the best guess on the breed and size of our dogs, because they come from shelters or are strays, we can never be completely certain of the genetic makeup of the dog. Breed and weight at maturity are only guesses. All we can tell you for sure is that they are 100% RESCUED! If an animal is still posted for adoption, he/she is still available. If you see this this post, she is available for adoption so there is no need to email us for availability.

Meet Crystal, she was born around 3-26-2016, and is under 10 pounds as of 5-19-2016. Our best guess is she will grow to be a medium size dog between 40-60 pounds. We don't know who dad was, mom is about 50 pounds and looks like a lab/boxer/shepherd, but we really aren't sure of her mix. She gets along with the other dogs in the foster home, but we don't know about kitties as the foster doesn't have any. She is a puppy so she will need a family who has time to continue with her house training. Crystal is being foster with her sister Cersei in an Lisle foster home, which is where you would go to meet her with a submitted and approved adoption application which can be found on under the forms tab on our website at

Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but is required prior to making arrangements for a meet and greet as all of our animals are cared for in homes. We can't schedule meet and greets until the application is submitted and approved. We don't have a building so there are no viewing hours. All of our animals are cared for in foster homes by wonderful families who volunteer their time to save these precious souls. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

The adoption fee of $325.00 includes:
spaying/Neutering when he is old enough, you will receive a coupon,
Up-to-date on routine vaccination for distemper-adenovirus-parainfluenze-parvo, Dewormed with panacur,
Treated with either revolution or frontline plus,
Rabies vaccination if over 4 months.
4dx test if over 9 month
Her mom tested positive for giarrdia so she has been treated for that. Typically whatever mom has pups have and vice versa.

The pups are too young to be fixed, so you will receive a spay/neuter coupon to one of our participating vets to have that procedure done when they are old enough. There is fully refundable $100.00 spay/neuter deposit. We hold the check, and do not cash it. Once the pup is fixed, you email us and we will void your check. The foster will explain that in more detail at the meet and greet.

You will also receive a free health exam visit to either Crest Hill Cat and Dog Clinic, Yorkville Animal Hospital, Midwest Animal Hospital in Orland Park, Woodridge Animal Hospital, Wheaton Animal Hospital, or Naperville Animal Hospital.

Thank you for looking at our rescued animals!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Crystal, a Naperville Labrador Retriever/Boxer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Boxer for sale in Naperville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Boxer puppy from a breeder in Naperville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Naperville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Naperville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Boxer breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Naperville paves the way for another one to be saved.
