Hi there, my name is Rocket, and I am a sweet little male bichon mix. I only weigh around 10 pounds and my age is estimated to be about 2 years old. I was picked up as a stray on the mean streets of Chicago, IL, and I am so grateful Small Paws came along and gave me a chance at a good life.
Three things I cannot live without are walks, love and snuggling, and belly rubs. I love, Love, LOVE to go for walks. I have a lot of energy and do pull a little when on a leash, but that’s just because I’m excited to be outside. Sometimes when we are walking I will spontaneously stop and roll around in the grass just because I feel like rolling!! It makes my foster giggle every time because I am so silly. I would really like to have a yard or some safe wide open place where I can run free because like my name implies, I am F-A-S-T, fast! My foster mom says I am a total love bug. If I see an empty lap I’ll go jump in it and give that person some love. I’ve never met a person who didn’t need a few kisses from me!! If I can’t find a lap to snuggle in, I will find a blanket and roll around and play in it. At night I like to sleep in the bed with my foster mom and snuggle up with her and my foster brother. I also really like belly rubs. When we are sitting I lift my chest or lay on my back and look up at you with my cute little face and ask you to rub my soft belly. I am so very grateful for the love and attention my foster family gives me. My foster mom says my new (furever) home will be even better.
Given how much I like to play, my foster mom thinks it’d be best if I have a little doggie sibling or a human who will play with me all the time. I am great with children!
I’m still working on my potty training skills, so I wear a belly band when I am unsupervised in the house. But, my foster mom leaves me free to roam the house with my foster brother when she goes to work and I’m such a good boy!
I am up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and heartworm negative. If you are looking for an extremely sweet, cute, loyal little companion who will love you unconditionally furever, I am the dog for you. Please consider adopting me!
