Facts about Penelope

  • Species: Pig (Potbellied)
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Unknown
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 9649738

Age: 7

Penelope is a lovely young female pot belly.  â¤ï¸â¤ï¸--She loves the outdoors and prefers life as an outdoor pig.  She gets along great with other animals, and has been with turkeys, goats and more.  Penelope was attacked by dogs and suffered injuries including the loss of one ear, but she does not really have any fear issues around dogs.

She is versatile, friendly, and loving and hoping her forever home will find her.  Penelope MUST have secure fencing and a rural environment is preferable for her.  She enjoys wandering, and if not secured could get loose, hit by a car, or attacked by other animals.  She is very sweet, and deserves a happily ever after!  Penelope’s adoption fee is $50.  A home with another pig is preferred, but Penelope can be an only pig.  Our veterinarians estimate that Penelope is approximately 7 years old.

About Safe Harbor Equine and Livestock Sanctuary

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a dedicated team or horsemen (and horsewomen) who are seeking to fill the void for those horses that have no alternatives. Our Mission is as follows:

1) To be first responders and a resource to horses and livestock in cases of abuse and neglect. To provide those animals a safe harbor sanctuary where they will be treated with diginity and love as they prepare for new lifelong home.

2) To serve at risk and medically fragile children, as well as recovering veterans through structured equine experience opportunities.

3) To become a resource to low income families, unable to continue to care for their equine and livestock animals; providing food assistance when possible, or offering rescue rehoming services when possible.
