My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Barney/BODIE is an 18th month old (most likely) herding dog mix. He's a very loving, sweet boy that would do best in a home without children. He loves older children, but younger kids tend to move unpredictably and make him nervous. He has some protective tendencies, and needs someone that can set boundaries for him at home and work with him and a trainer (at our expense). Much like many herding dog breeds, he needs to be put to work, and he needs a strong leader that will let him know right from the beginning that he is not in charge of the home protection! Because of his adolescence, (and he is very smart) he does learn quickly and is eager to please!

He loves to go for rides and walks, and really enjoys playing fetch. He's not a difficult dog at all, he just needs a forever home that will set and stick with boundaries. Could he be your new best friend?
