My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tiger
5 year old, Male, Black & Brown Striped Tabby, DSH

COURTESY POST: Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is helping facilitate the adoption of this cat. We take no responsibility for the health and medical records of this cat. It is the responsibility of the owner and adopter to discuss this.

Ollie and Tiger were adopted together from a shelter. They are litter mates and obviously love each other. They grew up with an elderly couple who can no longer care for them. Their caretakers would love to keep them, but Ollie tends to chase their older resident kitty, who is obviously not too happy being chased around, so our organization has offered to spread the word and search for a wonderful adopter for these beautiful, sweet kitties.

When kitties are adopted from a shelter, their heritage is typically not known, thus we cannot vouch for the fact that Ollie is indeed a Norwegian Forest Cat mix, but based on her medium fur and her little furry feet, we will state that she has some NFC in her, or maybe some Maine Coon. What counts is that she is a beautiful, soft-as-silk, girly girl with a sweet sounding voice. She also likes to greet visitors.

Then you have handsome Tiger. Maybe he has a little Bengal in him, and maybe he is just a handsome domestic kitty with lovely stripes and a wonderful personality. His caretakers are amused by his little voice that reminds them of a ‘squeaky-toy’. He has been known to make them laugh when he is engrossed in some serious bug hunting, and when the bug gets away, he makes it known by making little squeaky noises.

They both tend to be puppy-cats, meaning they like to follow their caretakers wherever. Both have sweet (wonderful!) personalities, and classic curiosity, but are also shy, so a bit of patience will go a long way with them and be oh-so-very worth it. What other endearing things can we tell you about these lovely kitties? Here are a few:
They often can be found sleeping on their backs with all four paws in the air, in random location.
Tiger is known to haul stuffed animals around and has a couple of favorites. Please suggest to take these toys when you come to adopt them to make their transition a little easier.
They both love to sit on their caretaker’s lap at the computer. They are very attracted to shoes and will sniff them to death, though they do not chew them.
They LOVE chasing flies and bugs and Tiger has been known to face-plant into the wall to get them, and he has a squeaky-toy war cry to celebrate the catch.
Tiger is a leaper and really graceful at it – so perhaps there is a little Bengal heritage after all?
Ollie loves watching the toilet flush – her caretaker wonders if that is weird or just cute?
Belly rubs are welcomed and they both do well with brushing -- sometimes they like it and sometimes they just tolerate it.

Since they have not been around young children, we are not sure if they would do well in a boisterous home – probably not. Dogs are unknown, since they have not been exposed to dogs. Other cats may be an issue, and who needs competition with two sweet kitties that enjoy their trusted human’s company?

We have a couple of cute videos for you to enjoy and have added a kitten picture to their bios.
Here are their videos: Tiger & Ollie Enjoying Play Time, and Tiger & Ollie The Lounge Kitties
They are chipped, registered, up-to-date on all shots, litterbox perfect, and enjoy both wet and dry food. Other than that, they just need a nice forever home together.

If you would like more information about this adorable pair, please contact Frauke at 925-784-8244 or loveallcats7@gmail.com or send an Adoption Application.
Please note that Ollie and Tiger are not in a Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue foster home but residing with their caretakers in El Dorado Hills, CA, while being placed in ther new home. Donation requested.
