Jackie is a 6 years old gentle soul! She is declawed, spayed, vaccinated and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV. She was surrendered to a local county animal shelter and truly had a breakdown in the shelter environment. The shelter manager called us and we rescued her immediately. She is so, so sweet. She has a wobbly gait and may be from her declaw surgery many years ago but also possibly combined with toxicity from previous owner using an OTC flea treatment on her. Her wobbly gait does not slow her down at all! She is doing great in her foster home and foster mama's daughter adores having tea parties with this sweet kitty. She is in a home with small dogs and does ok but we think the ideal home for her would be a quiet home where she can just relax and be her beautiful self and a great companion.

About Caswell Pet Lifeline

About Our Rescue Group...

Caswell Pet Lifeline is a non-profit, all volunteer organization which rescues pets primarily from the overcrowded local county animal shelter with a high-kill rate. All our pets are cared for in volunteer foster homes and we do not maintain an animal shelter facility. Our organization is also committed to promoting spay/neuter in the community and we offer a monthly low cost clinic.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We have cats available for adoption at Pet Supermarket in Burlington, NC. We schedule periodic adoption fairs in Reidsville, NC and Danville, VA. A private "meet and greet" (outside of adoption fairs) is also available.

Our Adoption Process...

Contact us by e-mail for additional information about the pet(s) you are interested in potentially adopting. Our adoption process involves a one page adoption application and requires a vet reference. A personal reference is acceptable if the adopter does not currently have any household pets. The adoption fee is $80 and includes spay/neuter, de-worming, rabies and distemper vaccinations. Flea treatment and ear mite treatments if needed.
