Buck's Story...

Buck is a ~1yr old, ~50lb, Cattle dog mix who was owner surrendered to a kill shelter in North Carolina because his family was moving to an apartment. He LOVES people and thoroughly enjoyed giving the ladies that gave him his freedom ride lots of smooches!! He enjoys playing fetch with toys, chewing on bones etc and knows some basic obedience! Buck is crate trained and housebroken. He would do best in a home where he won't be bossed around by another dog; he wants to be top dog. Buck needs a home without livestock or young children. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines with an adoption fee of $275.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buck, a Jarrettsville Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Jarrettsville, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Jarrettsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jarrettsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jarrettsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jarrettsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
