Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DOB Spring 2007.
Melon is a funny, sweet girl who will squeak at you in the silliest way for kibble or a few scratches on her head. She's a big girl who loves her food, but otherwise healthy.
Her ideal environment would be a quiet one with no children or other pets. She just wants her food, a place to snooze and the occasional bit of petting (once she's comfortable with you). She uses her litter box perfectly. She's always been an indoor cat. Melon would be perfect company for a quiet individual or couple.
Full disclosure: unless you give her something else to scratch and keep her nails trimmed, she will scratch your furniture. If you keep her coat short (pay a groomer or DIY), she doesn't shed as much as other cats her current owner has had. Also, she sometimes yowls at night but it happens less if you take her toys away at night - she likes to carry them in her mouth and then "yell" about it. (Lots of detail there but wanted any potential adopters to know the whole story.)
Melon is participating in our Courtesy Adoption Posting Program and is not the property of Toronto Cat Rescue. Toronto Cat Rescue does not accept responsibility for any pet placements that result from this service.
