Oscar's Story...
Well...I mean really - what do I need to say?? Just look at his face! He is OMG cute! This little, and I do mean little, guy is Oscar. Oscar weighs 4 pounds and is a year old and sticks his tongue out when he's nervous! This little guy is absolutely a doll and loves to snuggle up to his people. Oscar is ok with other dogs but he is so little that he doesn't really want to play with dogs bigger than he is. He likes to "perch" on the back of the couch and watch everyone. He also like to sleep in the bed, under the covers, with his foster mom! Because Oscar is so small we are looking for the perfect home for him and we believe that is one without younger children. Older children will be fine but no toddlers. If you'd like to add Oscar to your family please visit our website at www.goofyfootrescue.org and fill out our online application. Oscar is in foster care in West TN and will be transported once his adoption is finalized.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oscar, a Bedminster Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Bedminster, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Bedminster.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bedminster already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bedminster breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bedminster paves the way for another one to be saved.
