My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Paco is fostered in Bettendorf IA 52722 through United Yorkie Rescue http://unitedyorkierescue.org.

Paco came to United Yorkie Rescue in May 2016. A sweet 12lb. 10yr old Yorkie boy found as a stray in IL. Although Paco is micro chipped, his chip registration led to two people and neither wanted him! One said she'd given him away and the other didn't want to claim him. Who wouldn't want this cute, loving little boy?! Paco is neutered and up to date on his shots. He's so sweet, heart worm negative, is fine with children who are respectful of his small size (older children best), gets along with other dogs his size and is doing well with his potty training reinforcement, with a schedule. Paco wold prefer not to be confined, he barks when kenneled preferring to roam. He is healthy but has a dry eye that's he's being treated for, with hopes that after treatment it'll clear up. Dry eye isn't a terrible condition should he need eye drops in his future. Paco has some arthritis which doesn't seem to affect his ability to get around at all, he manages stairs and jumping onto the sofa just fine! He's ready to settle into his retirement home and provide lots of love and entertainment in exchange for snuggles, treats and a comfy bed! Paco is seen regularly for blood work to check is medication levels for Cushings. He is doing well with no side effects. Paco will require ongoing support of his medical needs, which include prescription dog food, medication for Cushing's, and eye drops. He's a very good little boy when taking his medicine. He loves going for walks, and takes several every day. He's the perfect companion.
