MikeyUPDATE's Story...
Mikey is a positively adorable Terrier mix. He's got soft expressive round eyes and a happy pointy tail with a white tip. Mikey's cute from head to tail. He's not big and he's not little. Mikey is a compact 30 pounds and stands approximately 15 inches at the shoulder. Mikey's fur is very short and he doesn't really shed. He's house trained and crate trained and rides well in the car. He is extremely friendly and gentle with all people. In fact, if you're looking for a dog who you could train for therapy work, Mikey might be your guy. He walks well on leash and is a quick study. We've begun teaching Mikey some agility obstacles and he's catching on fast. Perhaps he will be your next (or first) agility. Or, maybe you will want to consider competitive obedience. Why not? He so versatile. But, if all you want is a snugly, cuddly TV buddy, Mikey would be happy to fulfill that role too. Now... Mikey's not perfect. Who is? He gets nervous and tense around dogs who he does not know. This 'quirk' is entirely fixable through formal training and exposing Mikey to a variety of situations that involve the presence of other dogs. At our home, Mikey plays all day long with our dog Louie and he cuddles up with Linda (the dog he was rescued along with). He does well with cats, but not with rodents. That's the Terrier in him. Before Mikey was rescued, he was abandoned in the fenced yard of a vacant house. He was sad with no hope. He had very little food and stale water. With no where to go and no one to love him, he dug a hole under a dog house and slept all day. But now, those days are far behind Mikey. He lives with joy, gets plenty to eat, has lots to do and receives loads of love. If you want to provide the same for Mikey and get a loyal best friend in return, please contact us today. Mikey is a fabulous dog and frankly we can't believe no one has adopted him yet. Mikey will be at the Farmer's Market in Libertyville on 9/13. Why not come out and meet him?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

MikeyUPDATE, a Libertyville Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Libertyville, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Libertyville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Libertyville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Libertyville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Libertyville paves the way for another one to be saved.
