Archie's Story...

Archie is a lovable little guy that weighs 15 lbs and is approximately 6 month old (as of Nov 2015). He's a playful pup that get's along with other dogs. Have not tested cats but we can do this if you have a feline in the home. He's very lovable giving kisses and cudd les (not necessarily in that order!). He's done great in his fosters home with no accidents except for the first day. He's also very good on the leash. He is learning basic commands and responds well to his name and when called. He is crated when his foster leaves the home but he does not like it and responds with barking so we recommend that he not go into a condo due to current anxiety related to this. We are confident that he will learn to trust his crate once he's in his forever home.

Like most shelter dogs (and especially puppies), Archie will need house training when arriving in their new home.

The adoption fee for this dog is $380. Our dogs receive routine vetting: DHPP, Bordatella, Rabies, Deworming, Microchip, Neutered and additional medical as needed. Our adoption fee helps cover these costs. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Archie, a Herndon Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Herndon, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Herndon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Herndon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Herndon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Herndon paves the way for another one to be saved.
