Carter's Story...

Hi there! My name is Carter. I am a happy-go-lucky boy and I was rescued from a high-kill pound, apparently right before my time was up! I am friendly, confident and lovable, and will be your best friend for life if you give him me a treat. I am eager on leash and is curious about the world. I would be a great companion to join you on walks or hikes. I am heaps of fun and would make a great family dog. They say I am a handsome fella given my little underbite, forehead wrinkles, white chin, and asymmetrical ears, and my huge brown eyes will melt your heart. I am best suited to an active home with older children, and another dog for companionship when my humans are not home. Come and meet me at the adoption event!

If you are interested in meeting Carter, please download the Adoption Questionnaire, fill it out and fax it back to us at (310) 362-0321. You can also meet this and/or other available dogs at our weekend adoptions.

[Carter is about 1 year old and weighs 21 lbs.]

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Carter, a Marina del Rey Pug/Shiba Inu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug/Shiba Inu for sale in Marina del Rey, or seeking a Pug/Shiba Inu dog from a breeder in Marina del Rey.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marina del Rey already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marina del Rey breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug/Shiba Inu breeders who help with Pug/Shiba Inu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marina del Rey paves the way for another one to be saved.
