Sammie's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Sammie's Story...
Sammie had a tough start. She was absolutely petrified at the city shelter where she was brought in as a stray. We suspect that she was either very neglected, abused, or just never lived inside a home before. It took a couple weeks, but she slowly came out of her shell and is now a happy and pretty well adjusted dog! She definitely needs to be in a home with other dogs, as she takes her cues from them on how to act and play like a dog.

Sammie is great with cats and kids. She is slightly afraid of hard floors but she eventually gets used to them. She is very afraid of a leash, so she definitely needs some leash training by a patient owner. She is incredibly sweet and loyal and she's going to make a wonderful dog! She just needs the right owner that will show her that she has nothing to be afraid of!

Sammie is about 1 year old. She is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative and current on vaccines. Her adoption fee is $100. Make an appointment to meet Sammie and you will fall in love instantly!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sammie, a San Antonio Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in San Antonio, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in San Antonio.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Antonio already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Antonio breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Antonio paves the way for another one to be saved.
