Cadeyrn was recently found during a TNR project. He came to us to recover after being vetted before going to live out his life in a barn. However, his tiny mews for attention made us rethink that option. He spent most of his isolation period in hiding. Once that was over, we put him in a room with a couple confident and friendly cats. Cadeyrn is a Welsh word meaning 'Battle King'. This sweet boy has definitely been in battles, and from looking at his scars, he wasn't always the winner. We hoped that giving him a royal name would boost his confidence which had also taken a beating during his time outside. He soon repaid our patience by coming out of his hiding place and rubbing against our legs for attention. He got scared if we picked him up and carriers terrified him. However, his buddy taught him how to enjoy the good parts of life. Now Cadeyrn loves lying on your lap, eating treats out of your hand, and he even allows people to hold him (under his terms of course!) If you want a gentle, undemanding companion who will lie on your lap purring, Cadeyrn is your boy. He also enjoys sleeping with you, and sometimes on you! He would prefer a quieter home with no young children, and would love to have a kitty companion. He prefers males, but also cuddles up with mild mannered females. Please consider opening your home and lap to this sweet boy.
