My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adele is an adorable eight pound Rat Terrier mix, about 1 1/2 years old, a sweet girl with such big, expressive ears it looks as if she might fly.

When Adele first got to her foster home she was trembling and shy - and no wonder, as she had been cruelly dropped over a seven foot cement fence into a patio at the animal shelter. It took awhile for her foster parents to even approach her - she would run away if she thought she was going to be picked up. However, she began relaxing in a matter of days and soon came up to foster mom and dad for pets when they were sitting down.

Every day Adele's shyness vanishes a little more. At her first adoption showing she surprised everyone by greeting strangers nicely and trying to climb into laps. Her foster mom feels Adele may do best in a situation where someone is home most of the time or where there is another dog for company. Adele is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. And she is house trained.
