Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Are you an HGTV fan? Like the fixer uppers? Angel would have her own show if they featured beagles instead of houses! Angel came to us an emaciated girl with a coat and skin damaged by fleas. It was apparent she couldn’t see very well. Since she’s been here, she’s been eating well and exercising daily to build up her muscle tone. She’s been diagnosed with dry eyes, and is now on medication for that.
Angel likes to hang out with the other beagles, preferring the boys to the grumpy girl who lives here. She is totally housetrained, and has never had an accident in the house. She uses the doggy door like a pro, and will need a fenced yard since her leash skills are still evolving. When we first tried to walk her, she chewed at the leash like a puppy would and turned in circles trying to get out of her harness. That’s a work in progress. Angel does not like to be restrained in any way, so while she eats in a crate, staying in one is not an option for her. She’s completely trustworthy left out in the house when we’re gone.
She rides in the car beautifully, and enjoyed our recent vacation. She is a little timid, frightened by loud vehicles, big barking dogs and strangers, though she does warm up quickly to the latter. Angel is looking for a somewhat quiet household where she can get lots of attention and belly rubs!
