Important Note

Atlas is best friends with Maddie. Please adopt both of them so they can stay together!
Make BFFs Atlas & Maddie Your Furever Friends
Atlas – 6-year-old German/Shiloh Shepherd Mix, blonde, medium coat Maddie – 3-year-old German Shepherd, black and tan, short coat Good with other dogs: Large dogs only Good with cats: No This gorgeous and sweet bonded pair was found on the street. But these two would make wonderful
pets for a family who doesn’t mind having a very large lap dog and his sidekick. Atlas is a big boy, but don’t tell him that, he thinks he’s the perfect size to be on your lap! Maddie is a petite girl, a bit on the shy side, but when she’s with her Atlas, she comes out of her shell. This pair would be do best in a home with no cats and no small dogs. And because of Atlas’ size, older children would be the best fit.
Atlas and Maddie know a few commands, can walk on a leash, and really want to please. An active family that could continue their leash training would be optimal. And they are just learning to play with toys and would love a family that will help them learn what fun is all about.

As always, if you are interested in a Saving Paws dog, you must fill out our online application to get the approval process started. We will only schedule meet and greets with an approved application! All staff members are volunteers and aren’t compensated for their time and expenses. Many juggle family and full-time careers while volunteering at Saving Paws. Please be patient as sometimes it takes up to 5 days to process an application.

You can make a difference in both financial contribution and working to save deserving animals. Adopting a rescue dog saves two lives. "Saving Paws" primarily obtains dogs from local "High Kill" shelters. We are often there last hope. Our adoptions have gone on become service dogs, search and rescue dogs, sport dogs, AKC title holders and of course cherished family pets and protectors. Please consider a rescue dog and give these wonderful animals a second chance.

Donate to Our Rescue Group...

Saving Paws is a registered 501c3 not for profit corporation. All personnel are volunteers and are not compensated for their time and expenses. Donations of food, supplies and dollars always appreciated and allow us to help more dogs.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Currently our resources do not allow one central facility for our operations. We have many dogs in foster care and board others at the Canine Country Club. They are located in Phoenix, Arizona. All adoptions are by appointment. We do our best to be available and accommodate your schedule. However, being volunteer, we ask for your patience and assistance in all matters. A minor inconvenience is a small price to pay for helping a dog in need.

"Saving Paws" also participates in numerous adoption events year around. We will post these to our website and to this venue as they are scheduled.

Our Adoption Process...

"Saving Paws" works individually with each potential adopter to assure a good match and successful placement. The specific adoption process can vary and includes:

* Telephone and or email consultation.
* "Meet & Greet" with selected animals. We request that all family members and pets be present.
* Adoption application and reference check.
* Home visit
* Completion of the adoption process.
* Any additional follow up or assistance required.

Adoption fees and donations offset the extremely high cost of veterinary care, food, boarding and numerous other expenses.
