Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Daisy is a happy, active and extremely friendly, eight-year-old, 40-pound, female Beagle / Basset Hound-mix. This girl loves to go on walks, jogs and car rides, knows the command sit, and crate-trained. She gets along with other dogs and people of all ages. She’s active and fun; Daisy loves to chase a ball, but she won’t always retrieve.
Feena, her very best friend and sister, is a sweet, strong and initially shy, eight-year-old, 65-pound female purebred fawn and white Boxer with a cropped tail and natural ears. She’s nervous at first when she meets new people – especially men. But, she warms up quickly and gives tons of slobbery kisses. Feena loves her walks, jogs, and car rides, and gets along with other dogs after an introductory walk around the block together. Feena is housebroken and crate-trained.
These girls have lived their entire lives together and love each other even though they are quite the mismatched odd couple. When you feed them, they switch bowls in the middle and complete each other’s meal … it’s really cute.
Daisy and Feena were dropped off at Chicago Animal Care and Control by their family when they could no longer keep them. I met them during a photo shoot and brought them home as my fosters, so I have gotten to know and love these girls. They need a home of their own, preferably together.
To meet and possibly foster/adopt Daisy and Feena, please contact Sheri directly at sheri@petraits.com or 773-777-2891. They are being fostered in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood. Their adoption fee of $400 as a pair benefits rescued pets.
Feena and Daisy are spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, de-wormed, fecal tested, heartworm-tested and on monthly heartworm preventative. Daisy recovered beautifully from breast cancer surgery in March and Feena has a bad right rear knee … besides that, they are healthy, happy and incredibly fun!
