My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PLEASE, PLEASE HELP! THEY NEED A HOME -- a REAL HOME -- TOGETHER ... found wandering up the street ALONE ... Bagel (the Chow) was followed by a good samaritan. She thought he was going to COLLAPSE. The owner was found and said he was "fine" but that they were looking to give him and "the others" away ...
◙ ◙ LONG ISLAND, NY - SPECIAL BONDED PAIR who SUFFERED a LIFETIME of CRUEL NEGLECT at the hands of their "owners" SEEK LOVING FOREVER HOME -- ONLY DOGS, CAT FRIENDLY, OLDER KIDS ◙ ◙

BAGEL:
Bagel is a 13 yo neutered male CHOW CHOW. He is as SWEET as can be. He lived with Chloe (the GSD) and Toby (a sweet tabby cat) all of his life. We are so pleased that they are both HW negative and negative of any tick borne illnesses! The levels from their senior panels were in normal range. Both Bagel and Chloe are about 20lbs underweight and came in with severe skin and ear infections. The infections have been untreated for so long that their skin has blackened & hardened. It is amazing, that given the poor condition they are both in, they are very loving and seek attention. This is proof that they love so unconditionally. He will require continued care but thankfully all is very promising.

CHLOE:
Chloe is a 8-9 year old female German Shepherd. She is also a SWEETHEART who has been literally living in HELL. She has appreciated her MANY treated baths, good nutrition and a roof over her head. Chloe needs a minor surgery to repair skin that never healed. Her bloodwork was great for her age and other than the skin issues and being underweight -- she is doing quite well. She has lived with Bagel and Toby all of these years and is ABSOLUTELY BONDED with Bagel (so the dogs MUST stay together). It is thought that they'd be okay a dog savvy cat(s) and older kids (Just so they don't hurt them!). She would LOVE to keep healing and putting on healthy weight in a LOVING HOME! Their spirits are much better and they are feeling Loved!

THEIR RESCUE:
Bagel, Chloe, and Toby were living together in neglect for years. They have been suffering in silence while their owners had watched on and did nothing to help them. Road to Home Rescue Support and Pets4Luv Foundation have joined forces to save these 3 and brought them under their wing and directly to medical care. But they CANNOT DO THIS WITHOUT YOUR HELP -- We need you help to find them HOMES and we STILL need surgery for Toby's other knee and to pay for their continued care. This rescue has not been cheap but we could not turn a blind eye to their TORMENT.
