Goober's Story...
Goober is a 7-year old Min Pin/Rat Terrier mix with tons of energy and personality to spare. He is looking for a home where he can be your one-and-only love bug, as he has shown occasional aggression toward another dog in his current home. He has never been around children, but would be likely to knock little ones over in his enthusiasm, which he's packed full of. If you are interested in adopting Goober, please fill out an application at http://www.tillamookanimalshelter.org/onlineapplication.htm . This is a rehoming situation, so his mommy will be making the final decision.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Goober, a Tillamook Chihuahua/Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Rat Terrier for sale in Tillamook, or seeking a Chihuahua/Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Tillamook.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tillamook already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tillamook breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Rat Terrier breeders who help with Chihuahua/Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tillamook paves the way for another one to be saved.
