Jake's Story...
Jake is a very happy carefree kind of dog. He has long hound ears, a very sleek body, and loves to keep his nose to the ground. He loves everyone he meets. He also has a "bay" bark like a hound. He gets along well with other dogs and loves kids. He walks well on a leash and would probably be easily trained. If you would like to meet him, please call Deanna Benson at 870-214-1745 or visit him at our kennels in Mountain View, Arkansas. You can also complete an on-line application at schspets.org. Jake has been selected to enter the Paws in Prison program on September 8th. He will receive 8 weeks of obedience training, will be leash trained, crate trained and house trained. Please call for more information. Jake has graduated from the program and ready for a good home. He has a lot of energy, but also very sweet and loving.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jake, a Mountain View Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Mountain View, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Mountain View.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mountain View already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mountain View breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mountain View paves the way for another one to be saved.
