I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Maizy's Story...
Maizy is one smart cookie. Maizy gave birth to three precious puppies during recent torrential rains and went up to nearby humans barking and begging them to come see. She was asking for help. Maizy is beautiful, affectionate and perfectly trained. Maizy is about 2 years old and weighs 50 lbs full grown. She will wean her puppies and be spayed, microchipped and vaccinated on Thursday, June 9th and ready for adoption pick up on Friday, June 10th. Maizy is a great mom but it is her time to be someone’s baby. Maizy is great with other dogs and she absolutely loves kids but she thinks chickens are a pretty fun thing to chase.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maizy, a Austin Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Austin, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
