Mrs. Potts's Story...
ust wanted to update u on Mrs Potts. She is doing a lot better it was a little rough Monday. She was very scared and jumpy, but this morning when I came downstairs to feed her and let her out, I opened her crate and she came out on her own with tail wagging. She was def more trusting of my dogs before myself or my husband. She is still gets jumpy with sudden movements but does great of u get to her level. She is intimidated by larger dogs.

She is getting better with the sudden movements, she is def more comfortable if you get to her level then pet her. There are times she gets a little jumpy snd scared and I haven't pinned pointed what 1 trigger would be, sometimes it's the barking of another dog in the neighborhood or a sudden movement of either people or the dogs. She does like to try and dart out of the door. She is ok in her crate but sometimes gets upset but will settle down. She walks ok on a lead. Her newest thing is chewing, as long as she has something to chew on she isn't chewing things she isn't supposed to. She does cuddle She likes to sit with me, next to me or at my feet. Note: Baloo has rescue and is now safe. 1-2 years, 12 lbs

Act quickly to adopt Mrs. Potts. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mrs. Potts, a Darlington Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Darlington, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Darlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Darlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Darlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Darlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
