I was owner surrendered for escaping the yard, but my rescuers suspect that I lived there 24/7 and so it was no wonder that I wanted to escape! Since being in Rescue. I jumped over a solid fence, but I have never tried to escape from a chain link one. That is why I am listed as a "Special Needs" pet as I shouldn't be left in a yard with solid fencing. However, I know how to use a doggy door and if I have access to the house and get into a regular routine, I may be fine!
When I was first rescued, I paid no attention to people, but I have learned that they are very nice to me and often give me treats and pet me! I know "sit" and recently learned "down". Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks! I am a great walking partner and get along with female dogs around my size. I have not been around kids since I was rescued, but since I am medium energy, I should be fine with most kids. However, I will chase kitties, so I need a home where I won't be tempted please.
My adoption donation is $200. I am neutered, current on shots, micro chipped and housetrained.
