Tyler's Story...
Approximate AGE: about one year old Vaccination Date: October 2012 Health: Excellent Weight: 6 lbs Temperament: THIS IS THE SWEETEST, ADORABLE DOG, ONCE HE GETS USED TO YOU. GETS VERY EXITED WHEN HE SEES HIS LEASH TO GO FOR A WALK. HAS NOT HAD ANY POTTY ACCIDENTS. He used to be scared of any small noise but now he is very confident. He doesn't have problems with other dogs but I haven't seen him play with them either. I've only seen him give other dogs kisses. Once he is comfortable with you he also loves to give you kisses and even nudges your hand for you to pet him. He just needs you to give him a chance to blossom. He listens when you say NO, come here, stay, wait, eat, go pee. He is a very smart dog. When I ask him if he needs to go pee, he jumps up at me and gets all excited. . He loves to go on walks and does very well on a leash. He is potty trained and hasn't had any accidents inside my house because I constantly take him out. He also loves car rides and will sit still in the passenger seat. Favorite Activities: LOVES TO SLEEP ON THE BED, CUDDLED UP IN A BLANKET but he is fine sleeping on the floor as long as he has a fluffy bed. LOVES GETTING YOUR ATTENTION. Always ready for a car ride or a trip to the store. Guilty Pleasures: He has a squeaky toy that he absolutely loves. It's the silliest thing Crimes: He was a stray that no one came to claim. He does not like being left alone for long periods of time and will cry. So he probably would not make a good apartment dog. Ambitions: To find the perfect furrever home Dogs being adopted will be: Up-to-date on their vaccinations (including rabies if the animal is over 4 months of age), given a Bortatella vaccination, spayed or neutered, dental if needed, fecal tested, heartworm tested (and treated if positive), given a general dewormer, treated for fleas, and given a weeks worth of Nutro Natural Choice small bites dog food. Phone 214-778-7758 ADOPTION FEE: $200 E-MAIL INQUIRES: Please be patient with us! We're taking care of a lot of kids – The foster kids AND our own. Plus, we have families, homes and even full time jobs. We're giving meds to the sick kids, playing with the healthy kids, and loving on all the kids as often as possible. We're doing their laundry, trying to teach them manners and taking them on walks. In other words, we're just a little busy but we'll return email inquiries just as fast as we pawssibly can. ADOPTION DONATIONS: When you see the adoption donation amounts, we'd like you to know that 90% of the time the donation amount DOESN'T EVEN COME CLOSE to covering that kid's dogtor bills. Most of the kids have a minimum $500 vet bill that we pay out of our own pockets. But the impawtant thing is to get these kids the medical care they need and help them find the pawfect family. That's our top pawority. (Sorry, I just can't resist using 'paw' whenever I can!)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tyler, a Dallas Pomeranian/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pomeranian/Chihuahua for sale in Dallas, or seeking a Pomeranian/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Dallas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dallas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dallas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pomeranian/Chihuahua breeders who help with Pomeranian/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dallas paves the way for another one to be saved.
