Einstein's Story...
Einstein passed away from Kidney failure June 29th 2013. We miss him. He was in rescue a very long time. Einstein is blind. He had fleas and many lesions on his skin from bites and scratching. His collar was embedded into his neck and it had to be surgically removed. He had a very serious ear infection that was causing him unimaginable pain. His fur was covered in black tar and he had to have a lot of his fur cut off. His thyroid was out of whack and he picked up Kennel cough while he was in the shelter. This boy had it rough!! Einstein was seriously neglected and it took about a year to make him healthy and happy again. He is about 7 years old. It's hard to know for sure... but his teeth look really good. He is a white boy. He is about 10 pounds. (We let him get a little chunky.) He would not do well with kids... but I think he is fine around older dogs or cats. He is not found of younger dogs trying to jump on him and get him to play, but he tolerates them pretty good. He loves baths and brushing. He loves getting his butt scratched. He will not walk on a leash but he can wander around outside off leash while being supervised by you. He loves to roll around in the grass. This boy would do well in a home with an adult. Einstein needs consistency and patience. Even though he is a challenge, he is a sweetie pie and will quickly steal your heart. Actually, I find him very easy to care for. I keep him in the kitchen and he wanders around for a while looking for snacks and then he crashes out in a bed. He sleeps in the funnies positions. Notes from his current foster mom: 'He is deaf and blind and still has â€ÂÂœgrowing out” issues with his fur due to the condition he was found in. He does not use a leash or collar. He is not totally potty trained but he does understand the concept of going potty outside though. He will certainly potty outside if taken out enough. In fact, he loves being outside walking and rolling on the grass. He doesn't do much but he loves to eat and will take treats from my hand (after he gets a scent of it). He does not like to be crated at all and spends most time in my kitchen where he has a green pillow he loves to sleep on. He likes to walk around my living room and will steal any food he comes across! He likes to eat-a lot. Einstein used to be a biter… probably because he cannot see or hear and I'm pretty sure he was tortured before we rescued him. Only God knows the suffering he has gone through. He doesn't bite anymore but will growl at you when he's had enough holding and loving. LOL To wake him up, I gently touch his side a time or too. He needs time to process from sleeping time. He ignores other animals, but I do have a cat that walks in front of him and tries to rub his face. Einstein never snaps at the animals even when they are in front of him.' Ambitions: To find the perfect furrever home Foster home location: Garland, Texas Adoption Fee: $200.00 If you want to adopt me, please e-mail: ruffdogpictures@yahoo.com glendagoodwinpomrescue@yahoo.com E-MAIL INQUIRES: Please be patient with us! We're taking care of a lot of kids – The foster kids AND our own. Plus, we have families, homes and even full time jobs. We're giving meds to the sick kids, playing with the healthy kids, and loving on all the kids as often as possible. We're doing their laundry, trying to teach them manners and taking them on walks. In other words, we're just a little busy but we'll return email inquiries just as fast as we pawssibly can. ADOPTION DONATIONS: When you see the adoption donation amounts, we'd like you to know that 90% of the time the donation amount DOESN'T EVEN COME CLOSE to covering that kid's dogtor bills. Most of the kids have a minimum $500 vet bill that we pay out of our own pockets. But the impawtant thing is to get these kids the medical care they need and help them find the pawfect family. That's our top pawority. (Sorry, I just can't resist using 'paw' whenever I can!)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Einstein, a Dallas Pomeranian dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pomeranian for sale in Dallas, or seeking a Pomeranian dog from a breeder in Dallas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dallas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dallas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pomeranian breeders who help with Pomeranian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dallas paves the way for another one to be saved.
