Piper's Story...
Approximate AGE: 2 years old Vaccination Date: March 2012 Health: Excellent Weight: 4 lbs Temperament: This boy has a beeming personality and seems to have a smile on his face at all times. He is curious and wants to play with other dogs very much. He wasn't around other dogs very much before he came to us so he is having a great time learning how to play. He's a tiny little thing too. Haven't heard him bark yet but I bet he thinks he is a big dog in that little body. He's smaller than all the other dogs. Favorite Activities: He seems to like everything. He doesn't mind grooming. Likes to go on walks and enjoys the company of other fur kids. Guilty Pleasures: He likes to sniff everything! Crimes: His owner moved into an apartment that didn't accept dogs so off to the pound he was dumped. Nice, huh. People are great. He was never vaccinated or neutered before he came to Recycled Poms. But he is neutered now and fully vaccinated. Ambitions: To find the perfect furrever home Dogs being adopted will be: Up-to-date on their vaccinations (including rabies if the animal is over 4 months of age), given a Bortatella vaccination, spayed or neutered, dental if needed, fecal tested, heartworm tested (and treated if positive), given a general dewormer, treated for fleas, and given a weeks worth of Nutro Natural Choice small bites dog food. Phone 214-778-7758 ADOPTION FEE: $300 E-MAIL INQUIRES: Please be patient with us! We're taking care of a lot of kids – The foster kids AND our own. Plus, we have families, homes and even full time jobs. We're giving meds to the sick kids, playing with the healthy kids, and loving on all the kids as often as possible. We're doing their laundry, trying to teach them manners and taking them on walks. In other words, we're just a little busy but we'll return email inquiries just as fast as we pawssibly can. ADOPTION DONATIONS: When you see the adoption donation amounts, we'd like you to know that 90% of the time the donation amount DOESN'T EVEN COME CLOSE to covering that kid's dogtor bills. Most of the kids have a minimum $500 vet bill that we pay out of our own pockets. But the impawtant thing is to get these kids the medical care they need and help them find the pawfect family. That's our top pawority. (Sorry, I just can't resist using 'paw' whenever I can!)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Piper, a Dallas Pomeranian dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pomeranian for sale in Dallas, or seeking a Pomeranian dog from a breeder in Dallas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dallas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dallas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pomeranian breeders who help with Pomeranian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dallas paves the way for another one to be saved.
