Bella's Story...
My name is Bella and I came to Wagging Tails because my family wasn’t able to keep me. I started out a bit timid, but the volunteers could tell that underneath I am actually very affectionate. I can still be shy and nervous in unfamiliar situations, but now I wag my tail and jump up to greet people and I'm improving every day. I get along well with all of the other dogs and wouldn’t mind a companion in my new home. I'm one year old (born on 9/19/15) and 10 pounds. I am pee pad trained, quiet, and overall well behaved. I'm ready for a quiet, gentle family to teach me more.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bella, a San Diego Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Dachshund for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Dachshund dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Dachshund breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
