Noshi was ravaged by mange when we pulled him from animal control in Cleveland. He had basically no fur. He was shut down and fearful of everything. Over the past month Noshi's fur has grown back in and he is now becoming physically healthy. He is approx. 2 years old and 50 lbs. He has also started his journey on confidence building thru obedience training and socialization with other dogs and humans. He is starting to seek out attention and is learning that playing with other dogs is a ton of fun.
Noshi will need continued socialization and we would prefer prior dog owners to adopt him and we will not place him in a home with small children b/c we want the focus on the household to be him. He truly deserves it! Update 2/27 from foster mom: Noshi does equally well in or out of his crate. He has shown no destructive behavior at all and never pottied in the house. He’s becoming more confident with new places, plays well with our two dogs and welcomes others that come for visits. He ignores our 3 cats. He still gets startled by loud or strange noises although he is easily managed and takes to correction very well. This is diminishing with each passing day. Noshi may have Service Dog in his future. He has shown an incredible awareness to human emotion. Noshi is definitely a keeper. A bigger house and yard and we’d never let him go.
