ATLAS's Story...
LAFAYETTE ANIMAL CONTROL CENTER would like to welcome ATLAS to our adoption program. He is a young Domestic Shorthair Tabby with a gorgeous orange coat and a white chest. If you are looking for silliness, look no further than ATLAS. He still has some kitten play in him but is mature enough to know right from wrong. In other words, watch out for the toilet paper rolls! He enjoys toys of all sorts but really is low maintenance and will enjoy nothing more than a sturdy box to play in. A warm lap is also in his game plan. ATLAS's bags are packed and ready for a home to call his own. All cats/kittens are fully vetted, UTD on vaccinations, rabies, wormed, FIV tested, micro-chipped and spay/neutered. Adoption fee is $80/$60 on Feline Friday. Adoption hours are from 1:00-4:30, Monday-Friday. Cash, Visa, Mastercard and Discovery are accepted.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

ATLAS, a LAFAYETTE Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in LAFAYETTE, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in LAFAYETTE.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in LAFAYETTE already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a LAFAYETTE breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in LAFAYETTE paves the way for another one to be saved.
