My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

POLLY is a 11 year old spayed yellow female Lab who weighs 63 pounds. Polly is a very sweet and well-mannered girl. She has been field trained and was used for bird hunting at a hunting club. Polly knows basic commands such as sit and stay. She is fine in the crate as she was crated for travel. She is good on the leash and enjoys going for walks. Polly enjoys exploring outside and loves to retrieve dummies. She is good with other dogs. No cat history but because she was a hunting dog and has a high prey drive, we're going to say no cats. Polly is from the country with no exposure to big cities. Placement is limited to single family stand alone homes in suburban neighborhoods or rural areas. Polly is approved for kids 10 +.

Update: Polly is an absolute sweetheart. This 11 year old girl is a retired duck hunting dog that is embracing her new family dog lifestyle. She is great with other dogs and even cats. Polly is trusted with run of the house while we step out. She does great in the car too. Polly is a very sweet, gentle girl that loves snuggling on the sofa and being your shadow. She would love a family that is home more than not while she continues to become more and more confident. Polly is a complete love!

Update: Polly's fosters threw her a pool party celebration today for the pups in honor of her birthday. She loves the water. What a sweetheart this girl is. So easy to take care of. She is one great senior girl who loves to be with the humans and gets along fine with the other dogs too.

Update:: FOSTER FRIDAY: Polly says good morning. She's enjoying lounging around the house and going out in the yard to play a little, though honestly she spends most of her time following around foster Mom. She is loving the human attention. Polly is 11 (this weekend actually - May 30 is her birthday)

From evaluator:
Polly is so sweet! She wants to be a lap dog and she craves attention. She is very smart and eager to please and should have an easy adjustment to indoor living.

Update:: Polly has arrived at her foster home! She slept quietly through the night on a dog bed next to her foster sister. Polly is an absolute sweetie. She is a little shy as she is settling in, but is a very loving girl.
