My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

TEA is an 11 year old spayed chocolate female lab who weighs 77 pounds. Tea is a very sweet and well mannered girl. She has been field trained and was used for bird hunting at a hunting club. Tea knows basic commands such as sit and stay. She is fine in the crate as she was crated for travel. She is good on the leash and enjoys going for walks. Tea enjoys exploring outside and loves to retrieve dummies. She is good with other dogs. No cat history but because she was a hunting dog and has a high prey drive, we're going to say no cats. Tea is from the country with no exposure to big cities. Placement is limited to single family stand alone homes in suburban neighborhoods or rural areas. Tea is approved for kids 10.

Update:: Tea is a super sweet girl that is learning all about the family life after being a duck hunting dog at a hunting club. She will be turning 11 on May 30, and would love a family all of her own for her birthday. She is very well trained and is putting the resident dogs to shame. Tea is super loving and wants to be right there with you all the time. She is learning all about living in the house and is doing fantastic with her house training. She is shy to new experiences (likely because she was not allowed to do these things in her prior life), but is learning to relax and enjoy the life of a family dog. The second night she was here I introduced her to lap/cuddle time and she was a little hesitant and nervous about it, but the next night she was right there climbing into my lap as soon as I sat down. Tea is wonderful with other dogs, loves people and is even great with cats. This girl is looking for a family that will enjoy doting on her and showing her how good the family life really is.

From evaluator:
Tea is very sweet. She was fine with me petting her. She seems very mellow. She is very smart and eager to please and should have an easy adjustment to indoor living.
