FOSTER NEEDED

Rupert i  s a 2yr English Bulldog/American Bulldog X. Rupert was taken to a local CO shelter as a stray over the counter. He seems to have mostly been a back yard or junk yard dog:( He had a chain padlocked to him that they had to cut off to set him free.

He has a really nice personality and is quite a character.  Rupert is just an overgrown puppy full of life. He also does great with other dogs. But he would like rough and tumble dogs like himself to wrestle with and can be a bit much for small or older dogs. Really, who can resist that giant smile though??

Rupert needed some work on his manners and learning how to live in a "normal" home so he has been in training. He will have lifelong training support with one of the best trainers in CO as well as through Moe Moes. He needs to be with an active family and someone willing to bring him to play groups every week and a family with other dogs. Rupert has a very strong personality and will need a strong owner and structure. He also likes to claim everything as his (since he has had mostly nothing his entire life) and can be a handful if you want it back. So resource guarding is something he needs to work on as well. The trainer will continue to work with his new owner with this. His adoption comes with 6 free training classes and a home visit with the trainer. He would also do best in a home with no children. He has a BIG personality, like when he jumps over the coffee table and lands right on top of you while you are reading on the sofa, and says Hi!! If you would like to meet this happy, funloving, giant bear - submit an app today!

You can see Moe Moe's pets online on our website at moemoesrescue.com. We also have frequent adoptions events where you can come and see the pets up close and personal. Visit our upcoming events page on our website for to find out when our next event will be.

Our Adoption Process...

To adopt a Moe Moe's dog you must first submit an adoption application. A volunteer will then contact you. First a phone/email interview will take place. The next step is a meeting with the animal with the family and any animals that will be living with the new pet. A background check will be performed and then a final home visit before the adoption is finalized. An adoption contract will be signed by both parties along with an adoption fee that will include age appropriate vaccines, alter, and mircrochip.
