I’m Sam and I am about 12 weeks old. I’m a lab/beagle mix so it’s hard to say what size I will be once I am finished growing. I simply LOVE to run and play all the time until I simply crash out! I enjoy playing with my brother Tucker (he’s looking for a home too!). I also like giving lots of love and kisses to the people who will love me back. It’s tough to decide if I like people-love or running and playing better. I can go from running and playing to curling up on my foster mom’s lap in the blink on an eye. I want to grow up to be a very good boy and I am working really hard on potty- and crate-training and doing well.

If you are ready to add a playful puppy to your family, go to www.momsrescueva.org and complete an application to see if we are a match!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sam, a Richmond Labrador Retriever/Beagle puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Beagle for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Beagle puppy from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Beagle breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
