The amazing Pandapotamus! Half Hippo, half Panda, with a sprinkling of Piggy and Cow. this girl is an absolute lover! She was given more time than others at the shelter where she was rescued because everyone loved her so. Not a chewer, not a barker, this 3 year old smushy faced lowrider would be content to calmly hang and sleep in the house all day. She really only needs one good walk a day. She's been leash trained, and is a very quick learner. We house trained her in one day. Good off leash too, she will stick by your side. Great in the car. In fact she loves cars so much she has been known to happily jump into any open car saying "I'm ready. Let's go!" And this doll is a SHOWSTOPPER. Her markings are beautiful, garnering "ooohs" and "ahhhhs" wherever she goes. She bonds VERY quickly and you'll wonder if you may have been separated at birth once she gets to know that you're her person. Everyone who meets her melts.
This stunning pudgester is a little shy at first, but once she knows you are a safe person she will throw herself on her back for belly rubs. At around 70 lbs she truly thinks she is a lap dog. Having come from nothing to finally being loved she can feel possessive over certain things with other dogs, She takes correction very well though (she really hates to displease her people and will flop on her back as if to say "I'm sorry.I'm sorry. Here's my irresistible belly for you to rub now.") She does great with our off leash walking group with every size dog, but gets a little over excited when a strange dog approaches. She would do best with a family that is experienced with bully breeds and truly understands the importance of being a strong alpha leader. Discipline will be her best friend second only to you. (Okay, we'll admit: we have to restrain ourselves from obsessively kissing her adorable face.)
Bottom line, if you are looking for an awesome companion Panda is your girl!

About Tiffy's Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Tiffy's Rescue is a small independent rescue located in Santa Barbara County. We rescue dogs from the highest kill shelters, especially Southern California where the greatest crisis is. We are entirely volunteer based. We are also entirely foster based, to best see the true personality of the dog in a home environment. We stay committed to all our dogs until the end of their natural lives. We maintain wonderful relationships with all our adopters, and can call most of them part of the "family."
We are always available for any questions or inquiries. We love updates from our adoptive families. In fact we live for them! Keep those photos coming ;).
We are always looking for reliable fosters and volunteers. The more we have the more lives can be saved. Donations are also greatly appreciated as all other funding comes out of our own pockets.

Come Meet Our Pets...

You can meet our pets at their fosters home or nearby park, by appointment. We are very accomodating with individual schedules. It's always a warm meet n greet with no pressure whatsoever. Our goal is that both parties ( doggy and humans) walk away equally happy, and that the best fit is found for the good of all.

Our Adoption Process...

An interested party application is required, then a meet n greet at fosters home. Possible more n greets with other pets and family members. Then a homecheck, with a follow up homecheck within a month. First week updates by text/phone/email. We are commuted to every dog we adopt out for their lifetime. We are always available for questions, comments, updates, and help with training. A nominal adoption fee is required that covers spay/neuter, all shots, microchip and helps cover costs of shelter pull, transport, initial training.
