It takes a super special dog who can stand out among so many that a shelter director sees in a year, and earn the honor of "Favorite" . . . and that's just what this super special Sweet Magnolia did. Walked right into the shelter, with her quiet, pleasant, mellow demeanor and made friends with all the volunteers and all the other dogs at the shelter that we like to call "the Group Home." Maggie was a stray who was brought in by animal control, and when her time for reclaim was over she was brought to a vet's office to be put down. But upon meeting this "old soul" girl, there was no way they could make that her last day on earth. So she was spared and she's been smiling ever since. Maggie seems to simply melt when you look at her and call her name. She's one of those devoted dogs who thoroughly appreciates the company of people -- almost as if she sees herself as one of us -- and she would love to have a home where she is appreciated for her devotion, her attentiveness and her intelligence. Maggie is one of those special dogs who just "gets it". She is the kind of girl who will bond deeply with her people. How anyone would not have come looking for her is unbelievable because she is a definite Keeper. We think Magnolia is about 3 - 4 years old, she weighs almost 60 pounds and she is a very healthy girl.
