Bruiser's Story...
Bruiser was brought in and released to us by his owner. He is now available for adoption. Bruiser is 1 1/2 years old and he is already neutered. Bruiser was released to us because he can be very protective of his home and his family, to the extent that he comes across as aggressive. His previous owner was afraid that he would cause a problem. We did observe him barking and carrying on toward someone walking up our sidewalk and toward our door when he was in our lobby. He did come across aggressively in his behavior, but he behaved appropriately when corrected. Bruiser is a sweet dog and would make a nice companion. His previous owner stated that he is good with kids and housebroken. He will benefit from an owner willing to work with him on his approach with strangers. Bruiser definitely has potential if someone invests some time and effort into training. If you are interested, ask to meet Bruiser today.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bruiser, a Troy Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Troy, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Troy.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Troy already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Troy breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Troy paves the way for another one to be saved.
