My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

THIS IS A COURTESY POST ONLY - PLEASE SEE DIRECT CONTACT INFORMATION BELOW!!

My name is GIBSON!
(Gib for short)

I would love a home with children, lots of activities, and fun things to do!!

My owners say I am a very handsome, Rottie/Retriever mix and very, sweet boy! I am about a year and a half young, and believe I was born around Christmas of 2014. Because of my age, I have a lot of energy and I love to play all day long. I would love a home with a big back yard to run around and play in, and get my puppy energy out. Do you have kids? I love and am great with children – even the little tikes!

A little bit more about myself. I am house-broken and weigh about 50 pounds. I am neutered. I am crate-trained but don't need to be kenneled but I do enjoy taking naps in my open crate. My vaccinations are current and I even have a microchip. I am full of life and smiles, always sunny and bright, and full of zest. I have a lot of love and kisses to give. I am really smart and know a whole bag of tricks: sit, shake, lay down, come, stay, kennel, outside, clean up, etc. I am really good at letting you know when I want something with a bark.

If any food falls on the floor, please don't hurt your back as I will clean it up. I also don't tug on the leash on my leisurely walks. One of my favorite games is to play catch and fetch as I am really good at bringing the ball back to keep the game going. I will be a great candidate for agility classes and would love to go on daily walks, hikes, and if you go places (like camping) – be sure to take me with you as I would love to tag along!!!

My current owners are looking to find me a new forever family and home as they feel I need more time and attention than they can provide. My home doggie buddy is a bit older, we sometimes rough house too much which occasionally results in a bit of a scuffle. I do get excited with visitors coming to the door and need some work on not jumping up on them, but after a quick hello - I do mellow down. I do enjoy drinking from the water hose, so feel free to turn it on then I can quench my thirst!

My current owners are heart broken, but know it’s for my best interest and happiness that I find my new forever family. I am really looking forward to finding a new home with a family with some kids (younger or older). I am not aggressive with toys, babies can take them right out of my mouth as I am very submissive with children. I will be a great addition to your family and can't wait to meet you! If you have another active doggie in your home, please bring them over to meet me just to make sure we enjoy each other. I have not met kitties before. If someone is home most of the time, that would be superior too as I would love to keep them company!!!
