Emmy's Story...
Super friendly and loyal!

Emmy is a wide-eyed beauty who loves to be petted and loved on, and also to play with her other four-pawed friends in the house. At one week, she, along with her siblings, and her mama were taken off the streets so she could be properly cared for. Once Emmy gets the lay of the land, she is very loyal and devoted. She also loves to get up high on the cat tree to survey the grounds before deciding what her next activity will be and with whom. She loves to have company and be in the thick of it. Emmy will bring so much sweetness to your life that you will wonder how you ever got along without her! :)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Emmy, a Houston Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Houston, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
