My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Blue, male 60 pounds, Richmond VA

BLUE IS BEING FOSTERED IN THE RICHMOND VA AREA. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BLUE PLEASE GO TO WWW.MOMSRESCUEVA.ORG AND COMPLETE AN APPLICATION.
Hey There! My name is Blue and I am 8 months old bully pup. I was so happy when MOMSVA rescued my entire family from a high kill shelter! It’s just me and my sister Willow now and we are each ready to find our new families! My foster mom named me Blue because when I was a little younger, she said I had the most beautiful blue eyes she had ever seen! They are starting to change a little now, but my foster mom says that’s ok they are still beautiful. She says I am so handsome!

Basically like all my siblings I am a typical bouncy, active puppy, a bit of a bull in a China shop right now because I don’t realize how big I am! I need a dog savvy family to spend lots of time with me and help me learn the basic obedience skills I need. Like my sister, I think I would very much like to go to puppy classes where I can learn how to be the best puppy I can and socialize with all kinds of people and other pups. My foster mom says stuff like that is really good for me, and will also help me bond to my new family. She says I can be a little stubborn sometimes, and I can get into some mischief when nobody is paying attention, but she says it’s hard to get upset with me because I am the sweetest boy ever!! She says I am so full of personality and I have such a great disposition.

I hope my new family understands a boy like me and knows that I will need exercise, socialization, positive training. I hope they will be patient with me while I am learning how to be a good dog. I also need love and belly rubs, lots and lots of belly rubs!

I love to run around the yard and play with other dogs almost as much as I love snuggling with my foster mom and sometimes I think I’m a lap dog! I love to play with toys and am trying to learn how to walk better on a leash. I just love to go for walks and explore the neighborhood. My foster mom is also helping me learn boundaries and rules which is helping me be a better puppy!
