Meet Vera. Just 3 years old, this sweet gal had a rough life in rural Missouri before coming to Tenth Life. During those few years, she was hit by a car, shot with BBs, and lost all of her teeth. Despite all that adversity, she's completely trusting and friendly with people. She greets strangers with a head bonk and a purr. Her favorite activity is sitting right next to her person and getting her head or ears scratched. She even comes in close for the nose kisses now and then.

Vera's motto is "keep calm and don't move any more than you have to." She adores meal time (her lack of teeth hasn't curbed her appetite), taking long naps, and gazing out a nice window. This low-maintenance girl wants nothing more than to move into a forever home where she can feel safe and loved. But she's not big on sharing your love with other kitties, so she'd prefer to rule the roost as an only cat.

This sweet girl had a very rough start in life, but maybe you are the one to make the rest of her life happy.

DOB: Approx 4/2013

About Tenth Life Cat Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Tenth Life is an animal welfare organization that provides another chance at life to injured and abused stray cats. Our focus is on felines with extreme medical needs or ongoing conditions that make it difficult for typical shelters to afford their care.

Stage one of our mission is getting needy cats off the streets of St. Louis and into caring Foster Homes, where they await their forever homes. Stage two´s goal is to open a shelter building that will house special-needs kitties in a cage-free, no-kill setting until they can be carefully placed in their forever homes.

Our Adoption Process...

All potential adopters are required to complete a comprehensive application and interview, and will need to supply proper identification, as well as personal and veterinary references. Our adoption fee is $125 for kittens 6 months or younger, and $100 for any cat over six months of age. Our fee includes spay/neuter surgery, vaccines to-date of adoption, and a microchip. Once approved, all adopters are required to sign an adoption contract.
